Am I the only one that thinks we're going to get some rain, and maybe some wind, but nothing that serious??

Cambium - If you lived 4 miles from the sound about 7 miles south of Bridgeport would you stay at home or go somewhere else for a couple of days? Just wondering if I should pack up for a couple of days or stay put.
Thanks for your opinion!!

Trenton, NJ: Leading electrical utility PSE&G is informing customers to expect electrical outages for 1-3+ weeks state-wide.

"Our state has never before experienced a storm of this magnitude," said Ralph LaRossa, PSE&G president and COO. "PSE&G will have about 6,000 employees supporting the restoration effort, including 840 linemen and 540 tree contractors available to respond to outages once the hurricane pulls away. While our electric system has been recognized as the most reliable in the nation, we expect significant damage from the extraordinary wind and rain expected to pummel New Jersey this weekend. Full restoration could take between one and three weeks."

You need to go hours away to get away from the worst of it and then you wont be able to return home for a few days from road blocks and flooding. You should be fine staying put. Find a safe spot in the house and protect it from flooding if you can..

I'm in Trumbull like 10 miles from the sound and I'm staying put. I don't see a big surge like problem. Only problem I see is I have a bunch of tall tree's surrounding my house, thats the only thing that could cause a problem to my house and or car.

2nd post: Does anyone know if Van Zant St in East Norwalk is a low line area? I am new to the area and haven't been able to reach any friends all day to ask?
