That's good news. A lot of rain here in Granby but thankfully not much wind. The leaves on the trees are barely moving.

I'm glad it doesn't seem to appear all that bad where I am. Do we know how much longer it will last? Lunchtime maybe?

That's what it appears, the back side of storm seems to have fell apart, moving north around 20 miles an hour I don't see how it can last much past noon. I had some brief wind gusts here so far in central CT to maybe 50 but only a couple of times for a few seconds and wind is maybe a steady 25 now, just heavy heavy rain...I do hear sirens right now so something happened close by. Still be careful. We should have a nice sunset tonight....

One of our trees tipped over and is now blocking half the main road.

The good news: It was looking a little unhealthy in the past year (still alive and growing, just not as lush as it used to be), but we couldn't afford to pay someone to have it cut down. Now it's the city's problem.

That's pretty sad. I'm sure your tax paying neighbors appreciate it. And we wonder why our society is crumbling. Yes, I said it. You should be ashamed.

BIG rain right now, but this thing fizzled out. Oh well, I guess better to be prepared and not having anything happen than do nothing and get screwed. Maybe next time I'll not do anything and let the city rescue me.
