Thanks, mkiv808! Do they have offices in Fairfield/Bridgeport so I can get there in like 5 minutes?

No, but 10 minutes isn't that bad for a dentist visit.

I go to Dr. Zaino and Dr. Scully (joint practice) on Sherman Street in Fairfield. I've been very happy with them.

My husband has been going to Brooklawn Dental Associates on the Fairfield/Bridgeport line. As someone who has had a lot of work done, he said the dentist there - Dr. Warren - is one of the best he's ever been to. They don't have evening hours, however. They have a website - just google them.

I went to a dentist - who shall remain nameless - on Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield a few months back, because the office is literally the door next to my pediatrician. His hygenist did my xrays, checked my teeth and then I was told that I was badly in need of a deep cleaning, which is approximately $1,000, takes two 1.5 hour visits, requires novocaine, and the majority of it isn't covered by insurance.

I called my dad's periodonist (in New Haven and Ansonsia), and went there for a second opinion. They said I barely needed a deep cleaning, I was in and out in 25 minutes with just a topical. It was covered by insurance, and that was that.

Sad that it didn't occur to me that dentists could try to pull a fast one. My fear of the pain was the only thing that made me get a second opinion.

Kevin Kennedy on Main Street in Bridgeport is phenomenal. He has been my dentist since I was a kid. He will find a way to fit you into his schedule quickly if you have a bad toothache or chip a tooth and he's a really friendly guy who makes getting your teeth cleaned enjoyable. When I had to have my wisdom teeth removed he got me in to see another great dentist within a few days, and when my insurance changed he called my new provider and had my info changed in the system in under 30 minutes. I also have sensitive teeth and he gave me a ton of pointers on how to avoid pain. Great guy all around!

Dr Zaino has been my dentist since I was a child. This practice is very well run and even though I live in the Valley now we all still go to Fairfield for dental visits and bring our kids there now too. His partner Dr Scully is excellent also, and their hygienists are the best!
