I hope to relocate in the city of Voluntown or the surrounding areas, with at least 1/2 acre of dry land.
Also some viewpoints of living in the community.

Incorporated in 1721, the town of Voluntown lies in the southeastern part of Connecticut, bordering the State of Rhode Island, as well as Windham County and the towns of North Stonington and Griswold. Located half way between Boston and New York, Voluntown is conveniently accessible from I-95 and I-395, Route 2 and the scenic highway of Route 49. The town's population of 2,400 doubles during the summer months as its tourism season flourishes.

Hope this helps

Near Voluntown to the west a few miles is Pachaug Pond- a fairly large 'lake', also Beach Pond to the east on the Rhode Island border.

Default voluntown

if your lookin to be out in the sticks your spot on. surrounded by state forests and numerous ponds and lakes, voluntown is a great place if your laid back. most areas are in a short driving distance of the casinos, 15-20 mins. shopping is poor so you'll want to go to either norwich, plainfield or somewhere in rhode island. i dont recall a high school and think the choices are griswold, plainfield or norwich free acadamy. many from the sterling, voluntown area go to plainfield high. there is no police force other than a resident state trooper. housing is what you make it. you see shacks out there as well as expensive homes.
