so in the last 5 or so months, the DOT repaved the merrit southbound.....from somewhere in Stamford to I assume the NY line (I honestly haven't driven to the NY line lately.

Anyway, it changes to this new pavement that is so nice and quiet.. why would they only do this in stamford?? how about the rest of the highways??

Because they're doing ongoing construction in Fairfield and Trumbull. You won't see Stratford to Norwalk repaved until the construction project is completed.

I've always wondered what did they plan on doing in the Fairfield/Trumbull area? I remember when they had the whole center area with trucks and all but I don't think I ever saw what work they planned on doing in that area.

I will say the road is nicer.

They're paving the Fairfield/Trumbull area now. I assume it's finished otherwise? I hope so, that project caused a lot of traffic. If I see another DOT vehicle going 30MPH in the right lane at 9AM and no cars wanting to pass it at a decent speed, I'm going to go postal.
