Just wondering if anyone else's children got a pretty severe speech about name calling in school. They were talking about bullying, which I agree should not be tolerated. But, the vice principal mentioned the police might be called if someone called another "gay", etc...
Isn't this a bit much? This seems to be in concert with CT's law allowing cross-dressers into ladies' bathrooms.
Unfortunately today, many parents aren't doing this at home, and the school has to regulate somehow. You're seriously complaining about this? Get over it.
The school is going to call the police b/c one kid calls another "gay"? Seriously? What a total overreaction and waste of resources. The school should discipline the kid and be done with it.
How does that make it ok? Threatening to call the cops over being called "gay"?
Are you serious?
Technically, the word *might* was used, because if the other student decides to press charges on harassment, the cops WILL be called.
So they were right, the cops MIGHT be called.
Do you get it?
