so my fiance got a suit on vacation last year without me at jc penny i was even shocked that they had the size jacket he needed but the did. they no longer do alterations and he needs a suit altered for november 30th we took the suit to menswear house and they wanted 65 to shorten the sleeves take out the waist and hem the pants. i thought that was a little to expensive but is that what is the going rate?. as it is the pants dont fit well at all and even if they take out the waist i still don't think they are going to fit properly right now they fit low rise on his waist.

does anyone know any place that does alterations under 50 for all that work?

I do not think $65 is a lot for the work you describe. It is hard to find a decent taylor these days and if y9u do they can be expensive. Jay

thanks we figured out a solution to save money taking out the pants wont even help as he needs more than what can be taken out pants fit low rise need to fit on waist. so we are going to exchange pants at jc penny where he got him for ones that fit in length and size so he wont have to have em altered. then just spend the money for them to shorten the sleeves
