hi all

my out-of-state sister wants to have her wedding (jul 08) to be held in CT. I need suggestions for low cost, possibly outdoor, venues for her wedding. We can hold the reception at my home, which is located off Rt 2 about 15 minutes from HFD. So anything down Rt 2 or in that general area would be fair game.

Think along the lines of farms, parks, gardens, golf courses, etc. We are also looking into the Lady Katherine Cruise out of the Riverfront in Hartford.

thanks so much- throw in anything you think off!!!

oh- 70-75 victims, I mean guests.

I don't really know any details but I know there is an outdoor barn in Wethersfield (South of Hartford) where a lot of outdoor weddings are held. I would google Old Wethersfield or Town of Wethersfield for more details. Good luck!

The barn is the Webb house barn in Wethersfield. Also check with Glastonbury Hills country club and see if the will let you do a ceremony at their gazebo. Beautiful grounds there. Other options include the bushnell (indoors), the mark twain museum both in Hartford.

In Hartford there is Bushnell Park or the Wadsworth Antheneum are nice too. J. B. Williams Park in Glastonbury is very pretty, tucked in the woods and there is a pavillion there if it rains. Jay
