I'm going to be relocating to Stamford CT. I would appreciate some recommendations pet-friendly apartments [cats] and/or locations nearby. School system is not a factor [no kids]. Nightlife is not that important.

Price Range: up to $2,100; 1-2 bedrooms
Commute Time: less than 30 minutes. I have a car but willing to take the train. my office will be within walking distrance

Why don't you look at apartments in downtown Stamford. There is a lot to do there and it would be convenient to work. I am pretty certain you can find a place in your price range, just remember you are moving to one of the most expensive parts of the country so don't expect a mansion for your price. Jay

Stamford is part of the MTA rail system. So theres a train that runs down/up the shoreline. Taking the train around here and/or commuting to work is very common here... You dont need to drive 15 miles to get gas if you need it.

for starters id say to look into craigslist, Its not the best but itll give you an idea of whats going on up here..

BTW Tennessee is absolutely gorgeous. I drove down there 3 times in a row for Bonnaroo '07, '08, and '09.

I had plans to move down there actually because the overall living situation is a lot different. Everyones friendly and somewhat selfless. I feel like you could be bleeding to death on the street and people would walk by you in some parts up here.
