I'm a 27-male-single. I'm looking for something preferably under $1300/mo. Any good 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom apts? I'd like to make sure I have a place before moving as I'm gonna be driving to CT soon. I wouldn't mind roommates to be honest but having my own place would be splendid.

Where should I look for a place besides craigslist? Thanks.

Zillow is good to search with. Try Hotpads.com.

Under $1000 is tough in that area.

I guess I could afford $1500 if I use the rule of 36.. but I'd like to keep it closer to $1000

You won't find as many apt. complexes in Ct. as you would in many other states. A lot of apartments are actually condos or townhomes rented out, or are part of multi-family homes. A rental site will list both apartments in complexes as well as condos etc. for rent. You could also find a real estate agent to help you, they don't charge the renters a fee, only the landlords.

Drive around downtown Milford, there's usually some rentals at houses that aren't advertised. Look around the green and streets off that area.

There's Spinnaker Apartments in Milford. They have several complexes. Otherwise if you can't find something using all these online tools, I don't know what to say. Maybe connect with a realtor.
