So you should reward bad behavior?? Why not give CCP to convicted felons that carry weapons anyway instead of putting them in jail. A car and a gun are both weapons capable of taking multiple lives. Both are rewarding already law breakers by now making their lawbreaking not againstvthe law anymore. How bout instead when an illegal gets caught driving without a liciense they get DEPORTED for breaking yet another law!!??
You want to be here, fine. Follow the rules/laws just like the millions before you for so long. If you cant follow them because its too difficult for you, or you dont agree with them and want to make your own up then GTFO.

No one is arguing that fact. We are all pissed off that the state is going to legitimize the fact that they are driving with these BS notions that illegals are going to actually register a vehicle and carry valid insurance.

Theres already provisions for illegals to pay taxes without using a SS#. Just hope they dont drive illegally as well.

I'm sure a lot of these people would love to become legal citizens, if there was a path to that that didn't involve starting from scratch in their home country.

Oh well. We all need to follow rules that we don't like and don't agree with but until the rules change they should be respected and we should not bow down to them.

Poll on CTPost website about this shows 82% do not favor this piece of legislation. As someone stated earlier, I thought they were supposed to REPresent US!

Easy to say when you (probably) followed exactly 0 rules to become a citizen

Edit: that said, I'm not sure I see the argument behind this legislation as valid. It's an interesting thought experiment to think about how both Republican and Democrat responses to the illegal immigration issue would change if the voting bloc was not quite so monolithic. Do you think conservatives would be so anti illegal immigrant if the potential for a ton of new GOP votes were there? Doubtful. Very few people are that principled. Especially when supposedly our country is on the verge of destruction, if you listen to the rhetoric.. in that case, it should be saved by any means necessary, right? 'For our grandkids' of course..
