I remember my friends talking about a place called Dudleytown, which is near where they grew up in Goshen.

There's many allegedly haunted places in CT. There's a house featured in a movie, as well as many shows, that is supposedly very haunted. I can't recall where the house is, but it right near some asylum or hospital. There's also many places in Easton that claim to be haunted. I grew up in that neck of the woods and remember certain graveyards, streets and houses.

Edit-- now I remember the story. It was a house in Southington that the family moved into to be closer to Uconn's medical facilities. I'll try and find the house!

House: 208 Meriden Avenue, Southington, CT

The Union Baptist Church off of 136 at the intersection of Black Rock in Easton is supposedly the site of a famous apparition that appears in the middle of the road while driving. However, friends lived up that way off of 136 for a decade or so and never saw anything suspicious.

Carousel Gardens closed years ago, was sold renovated, and is the home of Oxford Hair Acadamy now. They do kids birthday parties for the little ones on the weekends. Girls can get up-dos & manicures.

Here's a workable list. From you are in Danbury, I'd go check out the Dudleytown area. I have friends who live not too far away from there and they won't go anywhere near it. They say they can feel a sense of foreboding & dread just being within a couple of miles to the site. And these are not superstitious type folks.
