LOL And now some of our tax money is going toward the tearing down of a perfectly good school to build a new one....$ 50 million friggin dollars?!?!?!!? Thank God he let the town vote if they wanted to receive our "generous" "donation"....as if they were going to say no.

Bad enough we are taxed any way possible in this state, and now part of it is going towards a new school that didnt need to be built. Ugh, its stuff like this that shows just how dumb we are as humans some times.

Are we not eligible for any federal assistance of any kind for the new school? I hope someone at least tried looking for a way to apply.

Well, Malloy offered it as a "gift" to them. He just figured hey, im king, ill just make the minions pay for it.

I keep hearing how educated the people of this state are supposed to be. Im not seeing it yet. Or perhaps they are, perhaps they have the best liberal education taxes can buy. That doesnt count towards a severe lack of common sense I see so often in this state.

Common sense isn't that common. Thanks for proving that.

This is off-topic of course, but it meaningful to know what is the philosophical basis of your comments.
He was, but he's definition of 'communism' was absolutely different from Lenin's.
'Communism' does not necessarily means dictatorship or regime similar to Soviet Union. Soviet Union did not have neither true socialism nor communism because everything was dictated by the 'elite' party which completely lost connection with people and the reality (kinda similar to democrats and republicans :-)).
Communism actuality means managed or governed by community rather than some 'elite' of questionable origin.

After recent comments by the governor, his failures, the current state of our state, I am going to work hard to make sure he doesnt get re-elected.
This coward, would NEVER have the gull to call some of us tyrants or "out there" as he has recently.
He whines about this state being "affected" by the shutdown, etc. Well maybe that is because we are too reliant on the feds. To reliant on a government that has exceeded its sole purpose. That spends too much. Too many programs that should not exist, at least not as arms of our government.
We have too many taxes, too many programs. Too much waste.
And he wants to lay blame at the Tea Party, conservatives?!?! Sorry, but conservatives havent been running this country. We arent the ones that caused this entire mess. We are trying to reign in government, stop the establishment elitism that continue to run this country into the ground.

No disrespect, but that comment is little trolly. In most things in life, like family, economy, personal finances, education, decency, jobs, traffic -- there isn't really a distinction, gay or straight, white or black, young or old -- most of us want the same things.

The question is -- is Malloy the best we've got? Is he going to make CT better? Is he going to solve the congestion in FFC? Lower the unemployment? Lower taxes? Lower the COL? Increase the QOL? Be more friendly to small businesses? Support parents and their kids on what parents, not unions, want for their kids?

That won't be the question, however. The question will be will Malloy be better than whomever the Republicans nominate. The best we've got? No way. Better then Foley? Probably.
