  1. How is PriceRite? I've heard great things and want to check it out.
  2. Where is a good part of Bridgeport to walk around, nice restaurant for lunch, etc...?

Thanks!

There is a Price Rite in Shelton on Bridgeport ave., not far from Trumbull, which I think is where you live. For lunch in Bridgeport, try Captain's Cove, look up the website. There's a boardwalk with shops, restaurant etc.

1. PriceRite is 100 block of Boston Ave in Bridgeport lol some customers may looked suspicious But Shoprite in Stratford is better. Pricerite have a security guard.

2. few restaurants & bar in Downtown Bridgeport, merritt canteen on 4355 Main St it nice part of town, maybe 1 or 2 u like in black rock

There some good Jamaican, Spanish foods, Brazilian, Asian food stores but they are in not so nice neighborhoods

2. Fairfield Avenue in the Black Rock area. There are a number of nice restaurants, bars and shops. I think Joseph's Steakhouse on Fairfield Avenue (Downtown-- not Black Rock) is great. Captain's Cove Marina is another good place to walk around, eat, relax.

But avoid walking near the housing complex down the street.

Black Rock is decent to walk around. Fire Engine Pizza, Toni's are good for food. Bloodroot is a great vegetarian restaurant. Very creative. Outside Black Rock, King & I has great Thai. There's a lot of good restaurants in nearby Fairfield too.

Don't know where you're coming from, but towns in the area like Westport, Fairfield, Milford have nicer walkable areas...And if you want a walkable city, New Haven is 1000x better to walk around than Bridgeport.

I like equidistant from Bridgeport and New Haven and NEVER walk around Bridgeport, and rarely visit there for food, etc. I'm in New Haven constantly on weekends. That should say something.

Nope. That's a ShopRite.

There are 2 PriceRites in Bridgeport. The one on Boston Avenue, which no suburbanite would be caught dead in, and one on North Main Street directly next door to....................Merritt Canteen. I haven't been to the PriceRite on Main Street in awhile, but the few times i did go there, i was "comfortable" with it.

.........And the ShopRite in Stratford sucks. Too many sleazy/skanky people shopping there and at the Home Depot and WalMart in that shopping center. Go to Shelton ShopRite.

Used to go to the PriceRite on Main St just to pick up a few things. Was hooked on their brand of BBQ corn chips for a bit, but got over it. That was a few years ago and haven't been back since.

St Mary's can be nice to walk from end to end.
