** This is not a "I want to rent from you" post. This is a "any ideas on where I should look" post **

Hey all, first poster here. I was hoping someone could give my girlfriend and I some tips and recommendations on places to live. I know a lot of people on forums hate lists, but for the sake of keeping my requirements organized I will have to bend that general rule

- >=1.5 baths preferred
- Garage (doesn't necessarily have to be attached, but I love working on my car...)
- Pet Friendly (13lb dog {fully grown})
- In unit W/D
- A/C

To give a general background on where we have lived so far: The first place we shared together was the Mansions at Hockanum Crossing. Fantastic place really. Had everything we could have ever asked for, unfortunately, after the first year of living there, we made the difficult decision to move out so that we could start a new chapter in our life with our new pup.

After we moved out, we started to rent a townhouse further down Talcotville Rd. The townhouse is nice, the rent is great, and the LL has been great. The issues we have here are that our neighbors are absolutely obnoxious on one side, and have a snub nosed attitude on the other side of us. Although that isn't a big deal, we also have been dealing with only having one thru-wall AC unit in the apartment (downstairs, upstairs gets quite hot), and shot cable lines throughout the house (only the line to the living room works).

Anyway, if I could put a summary of what I am looking for, it would be "The Mansions" that also allows pets lol.

Thanks for the consideration guys.

There are plenty of apartments in that area that allow small dogs if you do a basic google search. However, the thing you may find difficult is finding an apartment with a garage. Those are harder to come by. You may be better off renting a condo in the area off realtor.com or something since a condo is more likely to have garage space and more then 1 bath.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Actually, I think the way we found this townhouse we are renting is through there as well.

I appreciate the quick response.

You might look for a condo to rent. Many have the things you are looking for and will accept small dogs like yours. Check craigslist.com for listings or contact a local realtor for listings. Good luck, Jay
