Maybe it's because CT ranks as one of the "healthiest" states in the US? Though I guess if it were simply that Colorado and Vermont would be in the "top 10".

Yeah people in CT are pretty clean cut and natural.

Looks generally fall in line with health and affluence. While VT and CO are healthy, they don't have the widespread affluence that CT has. We have both money and health on our side, so that generally means better looks.

A friend of mine from CA who moved to NJ noted that people seem more "put together" in CT than they do in NY and NJ. I'd have to agree.

Ok. I don't want to publicly admit to ever having watched 'Jersey Shore', but I'll concede. This still leaves CT with the silver medal though.
