I'm new to Fairfield Co and just took one of my dogs to the vet here for the first time since moving - ouch! I'm aware everything is a little more expensive than MA, but wasn't prepared for that much of a shock.
Would be interested to hear what you pay for services if you have a dog, I'd like to see if my chosen vet is pretty much in line with what others are charging.
Thanks!
When I lived in New Canaan, we always took our dogs to Norwalk Veterinary Hospital. Office visits there were about $70, IIRC, which is cheaper than what I now pay in the DC area for a cat visit ($75). We were always very impressed with their service and caring. One of the vets, who is no longer there, allowed me to shadow him one day for a school project. One time, we visited for a check up in early January and heard a client almost in tears thanking the receptionist for taking her sick dog home for Christmas instead of leaving him in the attached boarding facility. Tbh I'd go back there even if they were more expensive than the competition.
