Oh My Goodness, a New Haven-Greenwich commute is horrible. Heavy Traffic on both I-95 and the Merritt Pkwy, and back roads will take forever. If you take the train it might be better though.

Could you possibly afford to move to Fairfield or Westport? They are expensive to but not as ritzy as Greenwich. If you don't mind a city (which I believe you don't since you live in New Haven) what about Stamford? Stamford is a good city and its right next door so you can probably take backroads to Greenwich.

I think the OP could find housing at the same price in the less expensive parts of Greenwich itself. Probably even cheaper-- I don't think the OP can move at the moment.

If this is your dream job, a tough commute is a lousy reason to turn it down. Talk to them about alternative hours. Be on the road at 5 AM... Or as Stylo suggested see if you can come in at 10...

To OP: if you read reviews on Glassdoor, you will note that someone does mention that shuttle service to the train station is offered.

Thanks for the responses. It turns out they do have a shuttle from the Greenwich train station, so I would just do that until I can afford to move there.
