Low cost airlines expanding
https://www.cnbc.com/2021/05/21/bree...but-this-.html

This is great plus for Bradley and Avelo is coming to New haven later this year. Most of Breeze seems to be at least in the eastern half of the country. Avelo is more out west. Look like $40 a flight with $20 for checked luggage or carry on.

Isn't there some long term plan for another runway at Bradley?

TCI I would argue is pretty much dead. To have just two states and DC from a peak of 12 is quite a drop

https://www.unionleader.com/news/env...5beb1d0a9.html

I'd argue the idea might have been ok precovid but with so much spending already going on this might not have been needed and frankly the consumer might not have seen as much of a gain.

Its unbelievable. You literally can't go anywhere between Greenwich and Westport on the weekends now. You literally can't move. And its not just the highway. Every intersection around every main thorofare is a line up of cars. Everyones going everywhere. There's no way to explain it. What is going on! It was never this bad, pre-covid. I feel like I'm back on the 405 and the Westside. Weekday rushes are nothing compared.
People moving out? Brick and mortar dead? check again

95 from Fairfield County right up through New Haven on summer weekends was always terrible; traffic right up through Guilford and Madison with slight breaks in Stratford/Milford.

It's a post Covid "get me outta the house and let's go do stuff" surge. It's happening all over.

Right. It's been worse than usual in this stretch the past 3 weekends. You don't leave Darien if you don't have to.
