Primary election is tomorrow. Not a resident of Hartford but will be very interested to see how this pans out.

I live in Hartford and as much as I disagree with Segarra, I have a feeling he's going to win this one. He's not a good mayor at all and he's very delusional over Hartford's issues. No thanks. Let's try someone new.

Has anyone seen any polls? I haven't found any so I have no idea if Bronin stands a chance or not.

I don't think Segura is a very good mayor. I'd like to see Bronin win.

I think both candidates have more negatives than positives. But I would pick Segarra over Bronin. I don't think Bronin has a good understanding of the issues of poverty, crime and education in a major city.

He sounds like the 1% of Hartford and is largely supported by the wealthy, white homeowners in the West End and not the majority of those that live in Hartford but unfortunately don't show up to vote.

As a city resident who has been watching the race closely, it seems as though Bronin and the rest of the Row A endorsed slate has a lot of support. And it's not just from wealthy, white homeowners. I think residents are disappointed with the current administration for a number of reasons and are looking for a proactive change. I guess we'll see what happens later this evening. I'm curious to see if voter turnout improves from previous primaries.

Oh, Segarra sucks. An absolute joke of a mayor and nothing but a paper tiger when it comes to combating crime. Hartford deserves better, but the people of that city are probably dumb enough to vote for him again.

Very surprised to be honest. I thought Segarra's comments about losing to Bronin because he had more cash to throw around was a cop out. He has had 5 years to leave his impact on Hartford, but hasn't, yet he shifts the blame to Bronin and not to himself. It's like being fired for being a subpar employee and blaming the boss because he or she had it out for you.

I think this is a good decision by the voters. I have every reason to like Segarra. He's an openly gay poltician and an unapologetic liberal. I admire that. However, he's ineffectual and the city needs a change.

Best of luck to Bronin.
