That is precisely the reason why if I had to live in a CT city it would be Danbury.

Agree, enjoy the laid back style of the city. Love the strong Brazilian, Portuguese, and Asian culture. I don't feel it's remote your close to Norwalk, Bridgeport, Stamford, and the city via train or drive less than an hour I believe. Close to Bethel, Newtown, Brewster, Ridgefield, New Fairfield, Brookfield, and New Milford. About an hour away from the Capital without traffic.

The other cities might have more going on, but, I think Danbury is a better place to live for sure. Safer, cheaper, or less congested. I think only North Stamford is a place I might consider over Danbury, but, money doesn't go far in that area.

Its around hour and 45 minutes. It is certainly cheaper, again, i never really considered it when i was in my early-mid 20s. There arent a ton of jobs up there or at least ones in my field but sure some people would like it.

Think Stamford is the safest city in CT by statistics according to Google. Drove through Stamford to the train station. Felt safe there at night most definitely then any city in the state. However, remember how confusing the streets were getting to the station turned me off from Stamford, ha. Will give it a second go someday.

There is a reason for the cheapness. Had friends from there who couldn't wait to get the hell out and came down to the coast.
