Hello!

I was just wondering for those who had to take a state of CT exam to be "on the exam list" how long on average did it take to get your results back? I went about 3 weeks ago for an office assistant exam. It was all just scantron, so it should be pretty quick for them to get the results!

It just seems like it's longer of course than what it really is! I like my job, I am just REALLY tired of the commute. I drive 35 miles one way, about 40 mins. Today it took me well over an hour to get home because of an accident on I-91 south.

The sooner I know if I passed or not (assuming I did!) I can apply for a job I see posted!!

Thanks in advance!!

Several years ago, I took an exam for my professional license in mid May and received the results around July 1st. I'm not sure if that relates to your exam to be "on the exam list."

Call the CT Department of Administrative Services, they administer the exams for State Employment. I believe that also set up a site now where you can view your active exams.

There is a website you can register to see your results:

https://www.biznet.ct.gov/AccountMaint/Login.aspx

In my experience (I've taken 4 state exams) - the results post in 3 weeks (give or take a couple days, but never 4 weeks). I've never failed an exam, so I'm not sure how long it takes them to send out the rejection letters.

Thanks for the info everyone! It has been 3 weeks, so I should get the results back soon.

My data is not yet on the website - so I'm hoping that it's just not posted yet and not the fact I didn't pass it. The questions seem easy enough- but I hated how there were 2 questions that were "right" and you had to select the one that was the better of the two. Who knows how they were thinking, you know?

Just asked my friend whose husband also took the OA exam, he hasn't gotten anything back yet either.

Are you currently working for the state or just hoping to get in?

Good luck. Where do you live?

A little advice: Don't forget to check the listings for "other state agencies" that aren't on the main DAS site. The state universities, UConn Health, Department of Education, etc.
