March and April are a great time for finding a job in my field. Nov, Dec and Jan are the absolute worst, slowest months of the year for job searching in my field.

It's not customary to have the employer pick up the full cost of health/dental insurance.

As you stated earlier, at 69k you'll bite (post 53 for those scoring at home), and that may well mean they carefully measured what they would have to pay right from the start.

With how many crying icons you use at the thought of using 3k monthly from savings starting in 7 weeks, I am confident you will accept this, and the title change does make that a wise decision, btw. Could add 10-20k a year for future jobs if you do well there and last long.

Ah Europe. We should really try and emulate their ways of 22% youth unemployment (vs. 10.3% in the US). The higher wages, additional sick days and benes are untenable over a lifetime, so the EU simply avoids the hiring of twenty-somethings to avoid the tab.

Every American should be entitled to 4 weeks of PTO, 2 weeks of paid sick time, 10+ paid holidays and a 40 hour work week, and universal healthcare, paid family leave and free college tuition. The days of the industrial revolution are over.

All of those European countries have done a FAR better job at taking care of the elderly, sick and poor than the U.S. has. It's pathetic.

If you don't take this, I hope it is not through a major recruiter, as that will burn an invaluable bridge.
