My family has recently relocated to Wilton, CT. Can anyone recommend a hospital that is any good? I usually like to put a good nearby hospital in my medical data on my phone.

Norwalk is the closest, but I don't know if it's any good. In Manhattan I would just go to NYU/Lagone or Presbyterian but I don't really know much about reputations of hospitals here.

Norwalk is good, but Stamford be the best due to it's affiliation with Presbyterian

The hospital knitpicking on here continues, in case of an emergency go to the one closest to the friggin house,

^^^^ I seen it done on an ambulance once ha. They wouldn't come with us unless we went to the hospital that was another 10 minutes away

I agree in a lot of cases the closest is best, especially if it's trauma of a level the closest hospital can handle.Of course if it's outside the hospital's scope, it can lead to a need for transfer, and time is tissue, so to speak.

I'm a cyclist, so I just want to make sure there's somewhere nearby that can handle severe head trauma without having to transfer me. This state has narrow, windy roads with lots of blind corners, so I had a few close calls on my first day out!

Thank you, I tend to ride towards New Caanan so it may be about equal distance anyway.

I go to Greenwich Hospital and use all Greenwich Hospital doctors. Excellent!

Thank you, I was able to get an Internist, OB and Pediatrician in Wilton, but it gets a bit thin if we ever needed a specialist.

Danbury might be a look. I know they have a solid hospital and tons of specialist within the city, itself.

It's a bit farther than Norwalk, but, it should be closer to you than Greenwich, depending how quickly you can climb on Route 7.
