Ironic that total snow numbers may go from very low to above average in 1 week.

#PaperDeception... we'll never know that the 3 months of winter was a dud.

And the Question is.... can we beat mid November? I need 6.1"

30 and light snow for New Britain's 06052. Barely seeing anything where I am, though (Berlin/Newington town line).

First time over 2 inches since Mid November. Happens in March.

March 2, 2019. 2-6am Loop. I see Long Island had rain overnight now changed back to snow. While all snow at the CT coast.

Here's the 850mb temps last 4 hrs. Watch the progression of the freezing line at 5000' stop at Long Island. #LongIslandSoundWall

6am surface temps

Hudson valley weather.com just posted its preliminary forecast for Sunday-Monday. All along the NY/CT border they’re predicting 4-9”. They concede these amounts are lower than some of the other forecasts out there, but they say they see things in the data that doesn’t give them too much confidence in the higher amount forecasts. Something about the axis of snow being farther south in their opinion. They will adjust upwards of course if their opinion changes, but for now they’re going with 4-9”
