You should stay out of Greenwich too if you are going to judge a large group of people by the actions of a few.

etro-North is the commuter train which you can take from Waterbury to Bridgeport. If you board the train in waterbury you buy the ticket from the conductor in the train. If you board the train in Bridgeport you need to buy the ticket from one of the machines in the lobby otherwise you will be charged extra.

You will find the schedule here:
mta.info | Metro-North Railroad

This is info for the bus system within Waterbury:
CTTransit - Connecting the Community

There are also intra-city bus available from Peter Pan buslines. Most of them travel on I-84 Danbury in one direction and Hartford in the other.

Taxi service:
(203) 754-5151

Yeah Bridgeport is a bad choice!Trumbull is a great place just keep away from the Bridgeport city line.A little futher up from the mall.Milford is a great place also.Plenty of stores and night life.Waterbury is becoming Bridgeport very bad.I live in Bridgeport and many people who are on section 8 are moving to Waterbury because of the high rent here in Bridgeport. If you like picking strawberry Shelton would be your place. But again keep away from Bridgeport and its upcoming twin Waterbury.

Don't move there! You'se gon catch tha new secshon 8 nd dat there's con-tag-ous! Apparently, the only people that live in these towns are those who are on section 8. NOT TRUE!!! Hey, I thought he was gonna say that Waterbury was becoming like Bridgeport because Webster Bank, based in Waterbury, is now the largest based bank in Connecticut, replacing People's Bank, (which is based in Bridgeport). hmm guess I was a little off.
