Hi

As I am trying to avoid paying $5 shipping for a $0.44 item, I was wondering if anyone knows of any place that sells resistors and capacitors. I know Jan Electronics in NL, I have been there before. But that's a hike, and I would prolly spend $5 in gas round trip.

Radio Shack is no longer around, Cables and Connectors in Newington is gone, and Electronics Wholesalers (EW) doesn't sell them.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Long shot but have you checked Best Buy?I’ve seen little parts there before. Many years ago I bought custom cables from Ekris in New Britain. It may be worth a call to see if they have small parts.

Otherwise maybe try Newegg for third party vendors that offer free shipping. Just make sure they don’t ship from overseas else it may take forever.

Oh man, where was I when I saw an electronics store and though about this forum.. Shoot! I don't remember. I get free shipping with Amazon but pay for Prime

I think there is a Radio shack still opened in the Bronx but you'll spend more than $5 in gas. lol

Go on Google Maps and do a search for Electronic stores. See who comes up closest to you

Maybe Valley Electric Supply and Lighting (3 Chestnut St Ansonia 203-734-1635) would have what you need.

Wow, when did Cables and Connectors close? That’s a huge bummer.

Recently, last month I think. It is a bummer, it was a great place for all those things you couldn't find anywhere else

Yeah, loved that place. Bummer. Redco has good cable supplies, though they're currently closed to walk-in customers.
