Just Monday, he celebrated his 28th anniversary at the station. Last night, we get the news he and Meredith have agreed on a “mutual separation.” Did not hear of this till the news broke tonight.

That's too bad for us, but good for him. I'm guessing he got a good dose of "life is short" when Denise passed.

I hope when his future plans are announced that someone will post it here. I always watched Channel 3 news when I lived in Ct and thought Denise and Dennis were the best news people in Ct.

It’s not only Dennis House WFSB got rid of. They also just laid off morning news co-anchor Eric Parker and weekend weatherman Mike Cameron. To me it looks like they are cutting their most expensive talent in favor of younger and cheaper talent. Unfortunately using cheaper talent is showing on air. The quality of broadcasts is noticeably going down. The station owner Meredith Corp. is blaming Covid-19 for reduced revenue. Jay

Plus tech, online, CNN, Fox, social media. The Six O'clock news is becoming obsolete, and you can get your weather from an app or right here on City Data.

I had no idea what WFSB was. I thought it was an organization of some sort. When I found out it was a TV station, I was very confused. Those of us who live in Fairfield County, especially lower Fairfield County, are truly in the NYC centric suburbs. I'm very glad deBlasio isn't my mayor though.

Eh, it’s what you choose to watch. We got WFSB in Fairfield County and chose to watch it because, believe it or not, FFC was covered far more in depth than WABC or WNBC. The NY stations usually only cover Connecticut news if it’s also national news.

Looks like Dennis House will be teaching as a Fellow at the University of St. Joseph. That’s great news. There is a definite hole in the Evening News left by his departure. The new crew just don’t cut it IMHO. Good luck Dennis. Jay
