Madison, Guilford and Branford are wonderful towns, just a short distance to Yale-New Haven Hospital and Hospital of St. Raphael. These towns all have beautiful homes on the Connecticut shoreline as well as a great "Main Street, USA" feel. I live in Branford and know people who actually commute to NYC on a daily basis via train.

I would have to agree with Westport - many people move up here from Manhattan and love it.

The recommendations of Madison, Guilford, Branford are also excellent, but I will add Woodbridge. You're close to Yale Hospital as well as St Raphael. Many doctors, lawyers and professors live here. Woodbridge doesn't have that Main Street but it is a beautiful town worth checking out.

Please move to the town of Fairfield because I am also a married 30 yr. old woman with a 2-year-old (in June) daughter - haha! My husband and I are relocating there from Ohio at the end of June and would love to meet other "relocatees" with young children.

Best of luck to you!
