This is technically true.....but not really true. It's a non US state. English is not the dominant language. Puerto Rico is not the United States.

It's part of the country just as DC, Hawaii and Alaska. Technically the federal government has no official language. A country can easily have more than one language. Canada with Quebec for example.

We can say it's like domestic migration and that's fine but I wouldn't call people immigrants if they are still from the country. Long ago when Katrina happened I knew of programs that brought some up north and frankly it did not go well. I knew a national guard member that was treated poorly and then I heard about some that had bad backgrounds that were not checked but housed etc.

Yes many were brought to Houston and crime skyrocketed.

PR aren’t immigrants, but I get your point. Not sure I agree. When boomers ruled the world there were Italians, Polish and Irish neighborhoods very distinct for the WASPs. Not anymore though.

I grew up in SoCal where Whites, Asians, Indians, Hispanics and Eastern Europeans all compete for housing. It’s kind of disturbing to see people counter over asking price. Perhaps you mean the boomer generation, because doesn’t sound like mine (millennial) or zoomers .

I live in CT in a diverse neighborhood where a house just sold for 25k over asking in a few days.
