Hi Folks....

Need recommendations for wedding cake, DJ and floral vendors for a wedding in Tolland in October. The less expensive the better as the bride/groom are on a limited budget.

Also, do any of the local supermarkets do wedding bouquets or even wedding cakes? Is the price reasonable and were you satisfied?

When we married years ago, we got our flowers from Stop & Shop. At the time, they were the cheapest and they were beautiful but we had to go pick them up.

A family member is getting married next year and she went with the venues recommended florist because they delivered. I’m not sure which one but they are getting married at St. Clement Castle in Portland. Jay

Almost all supermarkets that do cakes offer wedding cakes I don’t know specific prices but they are general less than say a bakery. You want to stay away from anything that says fondant or sugar flowers because that will bring your cake price up to $$$$$$
Go for a tiered buttercream cake with buttercream accents.

Flowers you can get at supermarkets most supermarkets that have a Floral department will do wedding flowers.

I was on a budget for my wedding back in 2014 and I was able to get what I wanted at a good price

Good luck with the planning for your friends
