HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -
Donald Trump is taking his campaign to Connecticut this week.

Trump will be at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford at 7 p.m. on Friday, according to a center spokesperson.

About 8,000 people can fit in the room where the event will be held, however it is unclear how many tickets will be sold.

The Connecticut Democratic Party released a statement on Wednesday: "Donald Trump has run a campaign based on hatred and division. He has lied and insulted his way to the top of the Republican field. Trump's message may sit well with Chairman J.R. Romano and the base of Connecticut's Republican Party, but it will not sit well with Connecticut's women - who he has promised to punish if they seek an abortion, or with immigrants - who he has called rapists and murderers, or with Connecticut's Muslims - who he has promised to ban from entering the country. Donald Trump's proposals are dangerous and un-American, and Connecticut voters will soundly reject them this November. And make no mistake, Connecticut Republicans up and down the ballot will have to contend with Donald Trump as their standard bearer this election."

I wonder if Bernie will go to Connecticut. He may go but it would not surprise me if he focused only on Pennsylvania and Maryland.

I've seen quite a few Bernie TV ads here in CT, but none for anybody else - Hillary, The Donald, Kasich, etc.

Granted, I don't watch a lot of the local channels...

No Hillary ads for you? Lucky? In New York, we get one every hour. Don't be surprised to see an uptick in Hillary ads after the 19th and after she makes more money speaking to Wall Street.

Seats 8,000??? Umm, I think they need to relocate. Have you guys seen the crowds at his rallies? Hockey Arenas were needed. lol

Good spot to hold it but is there another spot around Hartford that holds more people? Doesn't Mohegan area hold more? But that's a bit out of the way.

There was a joke that was being thrown around. Trump needs Airport Hangers for his rallies, Kasich just needs a closet with hangers around.

Some crowd numbers for Trump Rallies

VT: 2,000
MA: 8,000
NY Long Island: 15,000
NH: 20,000
AL: 30,000

I've see plenty of Bernie and Hillary ads, sometimes back to back. Have not seen one republican ad. Guess they are ceding the state to Trump.
