I mean loser bracket getting second place doesn’t make a ton of sense to me. Since it’s not that much of a challenge to win.

More like an honorable mention… or simply, winner of the losers.

Double elimination means double elimination. Whoever doesn’t lose twice wins.

Fair enough! We’ll keep it at option 3!

Don’t go by me, let others vote or chime in too.

I initially thought keep it simple but then understood the premise made sense in that it lessened the impact of unfair matchups in a single elimination like Fairfield losing to Old Saybrook while Milford wipes the floor with a cupcake like Bozrah in the same round.
(That’s just an example, you could flip Fairfield and Milford or replace Bozrah with any number of rando cupcakes)

I agree with this. As to Stylo's comment... (counterintuitively) winning the tournament from the loser's bracket is pretty much just as hard as winning from the winner's bracket. You still have to face every town that won at some point.

I'm not sure we need to have a double final if the loser's bracket winner beats the winner's bracket winner. As Steve mentioned, the purpose of the loser's bracket is to reduce the impact of unfair matchups, particularly early matchups. I don't think a second vote between....let's say Guilford and Madison or Fairfield, will produce a different result on round 2 if the "loser" wins.

I vote for "2. Winner of Winner's Bracket faces Winner of Loser's Bracket once."

There's no need to take the same vote twice.

OK Guys! I think we’ll go with option 2 which was the original plan!
