Take a look at madison, ct- half the town is from nj...lots of transplants- great schools, beaches- easy commute to rocky hill and points south

Default living in CT and needing to travel to NJ

we live in southington, moved here for my husbands job, he covers all CT and NJ for his work. In his experience over last 3 years he has found Southington to be good location to go to NJ from. Dont get any of Hartford traffic. He sometimes goes just for the day to see clients and comes home that night. We find this a convenient, safe place to live and also you get a lot for your money compared to living close to NYC or Boston for example.
