I was just there a couple of weeks ago with a client. Timber Oaks is a large complex that is going to have about 350 units, about 180 have been sold. Prices for 2 bedrooms 2.5 starts start at $299,000 before upgrades & those units aren't going to be available until the end of October The smallest 3 bedroom models start for about $75,000 more, before any upgrades. The community is built in the Arts and Crafts style. According to their website, they are giving some free upgrades on some of the more expensive models.

It's about 15 minutes from there to get on 684. Nearest big grocery store is about 8 minutes away. Common charges are pretty reasonable for the area starting around $225 a month. The property taxes are to do determined. The community was built on a former gravel pit.

In addition to Timber Oaks, there are several other similar newer developments built throughout Danbury do have some resale units. They include Sterling Woods & Lexington Mews (up by Federal Rd), Kensington Woods & Briar Woods (over by exit 2 ), Stetson Place (about 1.5 from the North Street Shopping Center), Arlington Woods & Woodland Hills (both over by Newtown Rd /exit 8). Older (mid 1980s) but well maintained developments include Lake Place (over the Danbury Fair Mall), Barclay Commons (near Candlewood Lake), Shepherd Hill (by Federal Rd) and Westwood Village (off of Mill Plain Rd) and continue to be popular. All of the complexs above features a pool & other amenities.Good luck!
