Hello!

As I am getting ready for my move in July to CT from Chicago I see a lot of threads in here from people also moving in from other states. I was wondering how you did it and what was the average cost? mine is a house move (bigger then apartment)...Plan on packing myself....was wondering what moving companies are recommended (or to stay away from) for a long move like this. Also wondering if anyone got a Uhal and did it themselves?

Thanks!

I am moving from SC to CT. Moving: How to avoid Moving Company Scams <--- Helped out a ton.

I am paying about $3600 for a small house move. That includes 3 months of storage in SC. Prices are probably more expensive up north.

If you go to the uhaul site or upack site you can actually put in all your information and get an instant quote.

I've found both of those sites to be very helpfull.
