Hi,

I'll be starting a new job in Springfield MA. We are considering renting in Enfield. Does anyone know anything about the Hamlet of Enfield? Is it a safe area? I have also looked at Bigelow Commons in Enfield. Some people think that it's not very safe area.

Thanks

Hamlet is in a safer area. But i wouldn't go with either. As hamlet tends to be a bit more dumpy if you ask me. On the same street but at the beginning of the road is woodgate apartments. I would look in to those I've had a few family friends stay their and they are really nice inside and the grounds are upkept well. But definitly stay away from Bigelow it's overpriced and in a bad area..

Thanks KH02.

What do you think about the area closer to the Longmeadow line? Is it a better/safer area?

thanks for your help!

Umm, for the most part just stay out of the Thompsonville area. Other then that you should be fine.
Hazardville is a nice area which is further into Enfield near the Somers, CT town line.

It depends where on the Longmeadow line...

Just so you know Enfield is a "safe town", the only reason i say avoid thomsponville is because of a lot of drugs etc..

I'm looking at Hamlet now. I think you've confused Hamlet with Woodgate. Woodgate looks run down; Hamlet does not.
