Thanks

Direct TV is probably better than all of them IMO. I personally dont like dish at all. Comcast is ok depending on where you live.

I've had uverse for a little over a year, and the service is pretty good. I think they still have the $400 rebate if you sign up for a year via their website. Prices are roughly comparable to Comcast/cablevision. Would be careful w/ satellite - if you don't have a clear view of the SE sky (I think that's where you need to point it), then you might not get good reception. Internet and phone services are usually spotty with satellite. You're also stuck w/ having a satellite dish mounted on your house.

UVerse unfortunately is not available everywhere (including m'town). have you got online to ATT's site and typed in your zip to see if they service that area?
i would love to have it up here since i already have my phone and DSL service thru ATT. would be minimal transitional aggravation adding cable tv..

I feel like I have had them all in the past few years with a few moves, I have realized I prefer DirecTV. Better price and selection. It seems interesting out here though that I know some people who were unable to get them because of to many trees, etc. We have AT&T for internet and phone bundled to save a few $. I would say the worst I ever had was Dish Network.

Do you mean Middletown? There is UVerse in Middletown-it's on in my home right now.

If you don't mean Middletown-nevermind

OP, I prefer UVerse, myself. Seems more reliable and user-friendly than the other services, which I've had in the past.

Im going to Shelton. It turns out that Shelton has Uverse, including streets in my area, but my new development can not get it

If streets in your area have it, then it might just be a matter of time until your development gets the service as well. If your development is newly built, I'm sure that it's well wired for various services. Try calling AT&T and see if they have an ETA. You can even fudge it a bit and say that you know some of your neighbors are interested too - enough customers make it financially worthwhile to put up the neighborhood hub device (forget what it's called).
