Can anyone recommend a decent dry cleaner in Stamford - preferably in the downtown area? When I lived here 2 years ago there was a cheap, but decent, place almost next door to my building. Since I moved back I have tried them again, and their prices went up and quality went down. I just tried another place this morning, and I'll have to see how they are, but they're even more expensive and I don't think the woman up front listened when I said one of my shirts was to be dry cleaned and the rest laundered, bc the ticket has all shirts grouped together. I can't find any reviews online and just need a fairly prices place that won't destroy my clothes. It's primarily work shirts and slacks, so nothing too fancy.

We use the one in the Bulls Head shopping center on High Ridge. Not sure about the prices off hand because my wife generally takes care of the dry cleaning. I go through at least 5 shirts a week and in the last 18 months they've broken or lost a few buttons, though not in a while. They will stitch a new button on for you in the event of damage. Beyond that, no issues at all. We are pleased.

When I lived in the Stamford area, I had nothing but good experiences with Ridgeway on Summer Street.

Ding Ding! I hesitated to recommend them because i've only personally used them once, but i've never heard a bad word about them.
