At least, that's how I roll... er paddle.....
This was the Susquehanna, long stretches for miles of glass like water with some short and mild rapids.

It was basically a 8 day floating beer party... LOL We did lose a radio once in one of the better rapids, "I'm going after the rails on the Craz.....gurgle...gurgle gurgle...." Tough section but only becsue it was filled with stumps, flipped the canoe in same spot next year. The dog was not happy.

It's "off the rails" buddy. hehehe

Ah, I get you now. Kind of like the floating beer party we did on the Allegheny.
I knew I liked you, Coalman.

Seriously. Of course REMOVE THE BATTERIES! Let it dry. Maybe help it with a hair dryer. Make sure it is 100% dry before you put the batteries back in. Shake it vigorously, any water escaping means it is still wet.
This worked for me when my kid spilled Orange Juice on a remote. I let it dry for 3 days to be sure and hit it with a hair dryer a few times.
You just HAVE TO BE SURE it is dry before reapplying the power (putting the batteries back in).
Wish I'd seen this before ordering a new remote from Verizon - for what they charge every month, they should replace a remote free. I tossed the old one but would have given this a shot.
