Dish has made me change out my 301 receiver since they are going to new satellite as of May 2015.
My problem is I had 5 TV's connected with splitter to 301,the new receiver is connected with HDMI cable with no coax connects, one video and audio connect for DVD.
Someone mentioned RF Modulator,I was would like to know how to connect. The modulator has 2 coax connectors. Thank You

You can probably use a HDMI splitter.

I had a 3900 receiver for 15 years and received the post card that my receiver was outmoded. They are not changing satellites, they are changing signal processing. A 311 was sent. It has only coax and RCA. I bought a new Samsung tv and having problems with a 'flick' on the screen every 7 seconds [but not with antenna or DVD] I did research to find a coax/hdmi. There is no such thing and not compatible.

Dish put in new dish and LNB,had to reposition away from building since new sat is now south.I have had my 301 since C-Band went out, have been happy.
Dish tech said RF Modulator would work but do not have any idea of how to connect since there receiver has only RCA jacks for DVD and HDMI for TV.
We have 5 tv's scattered around property,do not just sit and watch but are nice for convience.
One party said to try and back feed from RF Mod???There are 2 coax 's and 1 set RCA jacks.

I received your DM you are right,Dish Tech said that to shut me up,now east on 72 & 61.
The two Dish Techs installed all new cable and all new outside along with a VIP 211Z or 21.1 receiver, all HD channels are red,I have no intention to subscribe. The techs did a fine job with no cost to me,system works fine,Dish called twice to make sure I was happy,a little better picture quality than 301.I have a 32 inch LCD Samsung 6 years old which has given excellent service.
As posted my problem is there is no way to connect my coax cable to receiver since it is HDMI connect and RCA jacks for DVD player.
As said before Dish Tech said RF MODULATOR would work, how can this be connected??I am probably being a pain but after many years with my set up for tv sets, kind of frustrating.

They should have given you a 211k. It has a coax connect and HDMI, component and composite. The 211z is newer but was designed for traveling RV owners and doesn't have a coax out. I can't switch to east arc sats. Too many high oak and pine trees. Mine and neighbors. And I'm lucky to get west arc sats 110 and 119 A small view window. I have to keep my trees trimmed to get 110 If I get HD I will need the 129. It's border line maybe, maybe not.

The "rca jacks for DVD player" you talk about can be connected to an rf modulator instead, and that can be used to go to your other tv sets with it's coax output.

Thank you after all this frustration you woke me up,when Dish Tech said he would connect DVD player I thought he plugged in to receiver, receiver jack's are there to connect Rf Mod then to my coax.
Thank you
