I noticed right after a move that my LED TV's black glossy frame has tiny (dulling) scratches in it. I don't know whether this is from re-packing it in its original container to move (since the protective tape from the factory was no longer in place), or whether I had done it over time while dusting. Either way, is there a way to remove these scratches? They are real fine....but plentiful.

You need a polishing compound for plastic.

Is that something I can get at a hardware store?

I'm sure some hardware and automotive stores will have it, be sure to test a small area before going nuts.

You can also try some regular toothpaste but make sure it's not really gritty.

Thanks for the info, but...........I spoke with a representative from Novus who said that their polish would leave a glossy black plastic foggy. And Tap Plastics said they didn't sell anything that would work on it.

In that case, I would try automotive wax such as Turtle Wax.

I've heard that Pledge will help to diminish scratches on plastic.
