Depending on the method used, sure it means that. But there are other methods. Some screen sharing methods broadcast over your wifi network. But... most people aren't sharing photos that way.
How did you take these photos? Your phone? So screencast... from your phone.
It's not 1970 anymore. Do you invite people over to share your vacation photos on your TV? And playing games from your laptop to your TV wirelessly? Who's doing that?
I connected the laptop to the TV using the HDMI cord. I did a Zoom meeting and it was fine except that the sound came out of the computer only. I used youtube and the sound came out of both the TV and the computer.
I checked the Zoom settings and couldn't find how to send the sound to both the TV and computer.
On the laptop I went to Settings > System > Sound and clicked Advanced Settings. There is a list of apps (including Zoom) with volume settings for each app. That may be it.
Note: I also tried to screen mirror using a Roku stick. The TV displayed the exact name of the computer and a spinning thing.
After a minute the computer said "couldn't connect" which is also what it said when I tried screen mirroring with wifi direct.
When you screen mirror with a Roku stick is it wifi or wifi direct?
