I can't tell you whether you'll like TTU, or Cookeville, or Tennessee, or the US. However, I know a lot of Australians. I have never met an Australian yet that I can't along with (even though we might agree or disagree about this or that). Every year, because of the time difference, the first person to wish me a "happy birthday" is an Australian.

because I'm tossing up between a few college's but yeah I have a lot of friends over there and they love it. I'm coming over to play college tennis and college's like georgia tech, UNCW USF and UCF are all interested along wit TTU. They all are ranked nationally so they are good teams. I'm just looking for a college with a good campus life to like partying and stuff like that. Thanks for the other reply

TTU's smaller than those other schools, and in a less populated area too.But there are athletes from all over the world that play on both Tech's tennis teams and they all get along fine.
TTU's not a huge party school but there's more than enough to do.Come up for a visit.

I hate to talk NC on the TN thread but, I live in Wilmington, home of UNCW. Great school, good tennis and ...... the beach. You would like it.

You might like East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.

If you're looking for a party school, Tennessee Tech will be a disappointment. As firepower said, the other schools you mentioned are much larger, and all are in larger towns.

However, Tennessee Tech is a much safer campus, and with nearly 11,000 students there's still plenty to do. If you want to be a big fish in a small pond, you might really enjoy Tennessee Tech.

One thing to keep in mind, however, is that in 95% of small towns in America there's little or no public transportation. So if you don't have a car, it might be hard to get around town.

One advantage to Tennessee Tech versus some of the other places mentioned (particularly East Tennessee State and Eastern Carolina) is that Tech is close to a cheap airport (Nashville). Air fares out of Nashville are easily HALF what they are out of Johnson City TN or Greenville NC. If you plan on doing any traveling around the US while you're here in school, that could be important.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, my friend. You are going to find "pretty" girls everywhere be they pretty outside, inside or both.
