The Tennessee Softball Coaches' Association (TSCA) is having its East-Middle-West tournament in Cookeville tomorrow, Thursday June 13 at 4pm at Tennessee Tech's Golden Eagle Softball Field. Each of the state's three grand divisions will provide a team and will each play each other in a round robin tournament.

From this tournament, the state's 15 best high school softball players will be chosen to compete in the Kentucky/Tennessee All-Star Game which will also be held in Cookeville, Thursday June 27 at 4pm. John Conditt, event organiser, credits the Cookeville area's hospitality for luring the game away from Murfreesboro.

“It is very easy working with the folks in the sports area in Putnam County. The facilities of Cookeville Leisure Services combined with the support of the Sports Council and its community partners makes for a perfect hosting package,” said Conditt.

This is yet another opportunity for the rest of Tennessee (and even Kentucky) to enjoy the beauty of the Upper Cumberland region, as I'm sure they'll be staying in hotels/motels and eating out not just in Cookeville but also in Sparta, Monterey, and Crossville.
