I hate cold weather, and was looking at moving to Corpus for the rest of my college years. What is the coldest average temp. in Corpus during the day? Are the winters as mild as I have heard? I think that wearing shorts in January would be great. Can I do that there? My four-year school in Corpus would be A&M.

Shorts at night isn't always doable.
Shorts during the day is pretty easy.

I still don't have the top on my Jeep, so I wear a jacket once the sun goes down.

As far as the exact numbers, I don't know them, but they're pretty easy to look up.

The official Corpus Christi Airport low, based on the National Weather Service, is 48. It has happened twice. Typically, also based on the NWS (1981-2010), the average first freeze is December 20th, and the average last freeze is January 29th.

CptnRn, those figures are based off the "old" 1971-2000 climatology. Here is a link to the updated National Weather Service (NWS) 1981-2010 readings for the Corpus Christi area, and other areas along the Coastal Bend:
