It would be nice to know how those dogs are doing now after living in that pigsty all of that time. Did the Caller-Times do any reports on this or do you know anyone lucky enough to adopt one of them?

Adoption of Pomeranians
It took an act of Congress but I finally got one of the pomeranians and was told that no one wanted him. He had no hair at all except his face and a little bit on his tail. His color is white and no one was sure of his age. His little body was crusty from all the poop that I assume was dropping down on him from the other cages that were stacked on top of each other. When I saw him and was told I could have him if I wanted him I said of course I want him. That was why I wanted one so that I could give him love, comfort and a safe and caring enviroment. We started rubbing his little body with vitamin E oil and his hair started growing and he now has to go to the groomer. I spent a week with him before I could bring him home to see if we bonded well together. Well, it worked and he is a one woman dog. He will go to some of my friends but not for long. I love him to death and proud that he is a member of our family. He has an appetite of a horse and could probably eat all of the time. I get such a kick out of him as he will not eat unless I am standing by him and will actually come and get me if I walk away. I truly love this little guy and I am blessed to have him. He has brought much love and happiness into my life. I hope and pray the rest of the pomeranians received good homes as well.

Congratulations! What a sweet story. So happy it turned out well for all of you.
I noticed in the Gulf Coast Humane Society ad in the paper this week that there were several older Pomeranians available for adoption. I wondered if they were part of that original group, or if someone had returned them.
