Whenever I visit the coast, especially Port Aransas, I find that the food tastes great. Unbelievable. Whether it's just Whataburger or a nicer restaurant.

Maybe I could turn this around and pose a question to the islanders. Are you disappointed by the taste of food when you visit cities further north?

Not really. Corpus has good places to eat that are good for cc, and north has places that are good for up there. I find the taste to be relative. I do agree that Charlotte Plummers in Rockport/Fulton has some damn seafood that I would find hard to rival even up here in Austin.

Maybe it's closer to the sea, like Port Aransas. I can remember other people mentioning it to me once, and I didn't really care. I figured maybe they were just more into that thing. But then I experienced it myself in Port Aransas. Even the salad was great. I could have eaten it without dressing, there was so much flavor. And I suspect that people who live there don't even realize it.
