Go back and read the story about the toddler... he did not hold her over the railing... he’s not Micheal Jackson. As stated above, he was charged in this horrible horrible accident.

This selfie idiot should’ve fallen.. call it natural selection. She was taken off the boat at a local port... I bet our guys has a heyday making fun of her stupidity

Oh for heaven's sake: OK he didn't hold her over the railing but out the window, but thank you for correcting me. And yes, I am very much aware he was charged. My heart goes out to the entire family. This is something they will never get over.

It wasn’t a window. It was a bank of glass panes with one of the panes missing. Think glass panes around a skating rink.

I’ll bet you the cruise line made sure all the panes were there the next day.. and so they should.

I don’t agree with him being charged... he’s already beating himself up enough and having to face his children on top of it.

ok, now I have had my lecture for the week. thank you very much!!!! as for his being charged, I have mixed feelings about that. The same could be said about the parent how leaves a baby in the car and goes to work or shopping, forgetting about the baby. I believe this is referred to as involuntary manslaughter

Royal Caribbean owns quite a few cruise lines so I'm sure her choices are limited.

Several videos have came out since then - indeed he did hold her over the railing. No panes were missing, it was simply open by design. His defense was a total scam/lie by his defense lawyer, including that she was in a "child play area" (it looks more like a bar). Huge discussion in the current events forum about this and it turned when the videos came out. It's a sad tragedy but this grandpa has no defense here and was 100% negligent and that's the overwhelming consensus in that discussion.

Damn. Thanks for the update.... I’m assuming those windows are no longer open. What a tragedy.
