And did you read my subsequent post about a 15 day Trans Atlantic, and the fact that the gratuities for that ONE cruise would total One million, two hundred thousand dollars? You think this goes in the "tip jar"? Of course it doesn't! The majority is pure profit for NCL. Why do they call it "Free at Sea"? It's NOT free! It's a marketing gimmick and borders on false advertising. Why would anyone opt out of a "freebie" if it was actually free? On your next cruise, ask the bartenders if they receive this money.
Nothing makes them angrier!
How do you not understand this?
BTW: I'm looking at a Princess brochure right now which describes their free "Premier Beverage Package
with tips" among other things.
